I saw it again.

In the kitchen this time.

It scared the crap out of me for a second to see and hear someone there; I thought someone broke in.

So this marks the third time I've spotted a black cloaked/hooded figure in that part of the house. Jeez. I got used to the child and semi-used to the shadows, but "Death" is tall enough that I keep mistaking him/her for an intruder.

I should learn to draw ghosts; I'd never run out of material.

I hate that I'm starting to sound nutty. At least others have seen and heard the exact same things I have, so I know I haven't gone mad.

House or apartment?

House. Why?

I've gone identity-mad~!
:iconrlodreamy:
No. It just wanders around and looks at me curiously. I haven't felt any menace from it; just a faint familiarity. The shadows are more bothersome, and the child has frightened me, even though I'm used to the fact that she tags along with me everywhere; which I would have thought was just my imagination if someone else hadn't seen her with me.

What else? Well, there's the door-slammer (it might be the child, or a very menacing male presence I haven't felt for a while, and so don't think about).

God, I sound like I've lost my mind.

Apartments seem to have spirits that don't leave as easy. And they can be more bitter. What is the main structure of the house built on? Stone, brick, wood?

Ah. Wood I think.

What all goes on? How many are there?

Let's see... Currently, I believe there are 4 or five, with the possibility of more.

There is a small child that follows me around.
-Most common activity: An extra set of footsteps behind me, or thuds and hurried footsteps as she tries to jump on any clothing or string trailing on the ground behind me.
-Notable incidents: I used to see a small blonde girl in a pale frock dress duck behind objects when I looked in her direction. Easily written off as mistaking normal objects for things, yes? Not when you could actively watch her moving around in your peripheral vision, or when the white glow ducked away in a darkened room. She followed me to Europe, her footsteps resounding behind mine in the Amsterdam airport as I rode moving walkways (I tried extensively to find a rational explanation for this, but after listening to numerous people of various heights, weights, ages, and genders ride the same walkways, I found that I was the only one for whom the noise sounding of a set of lighter footsteps following closely behind my own occured), and she followed me futher to Sweden, where both my girlfriend and I saw her walking around her room the first night I was there.
-Number of sightings/incidents: Numerous

There is "Death"
-Most common activity: "Tourism"; it seems to be curious and just looks around or gazes at me, seeming familiar, if not friendly to me, when I'm not mistaking it for a human intruder due to its height, and thus startling.
-Notable incidents: I've seen the black, hooded/cloaked figure with no face standing behind my mother while she spoke to me (yes, I'm living at home while I go to college, to save money), and I've seen it in or around the kitchen. It could possibly be the same entity I once saw months ago reflected in the oven door as it sat on the floor of the kitchen.
Number of sightings/incidents: 3 (possibly 4)

There is the male.
-Most common activity: When parts of the house have been empty for long enough (only between 7-10pm), there comes the sounds of shuffling, bumping, and rustling on the dining room table. It sounds like a plastic bag being gone through impatiently, and with force. I've noticed it after showers, and I stop to listen. I hear movement of a large person, with forceful movements that strike me as angry. I also get the impression of a very masculine male presence, and feel threatened by it.
-Notable incidents: Once, upon hearing it and fearing an intruder (It's one of my most common first-thought rationalizations of unexplanable noises/sights, as you can see, haha), I darted across the hall into my room to get the phone, and perhaps my dagger, hearing it sprint after me, and when I shut the door, something slammed against it. Of course, when I finally came out of the room, the house was empty and all doors and windows were locked from the inside.
-Number of sightings/incidents: 2 or 3

There is the door-slammer - Could possibly be the male entity above, or the girl-child.
-Most common activity: Opening, closing, and slamming doors.
-Notable incidents: I've had a closed/locked door make the sound of a very loud slam, and felt the gust of wind from it, with me sitting mere feet from it and not having seen it ever open. Another time, my girlfriend and I were at once both startled by hearing someone come in the front door (we assumed my mother). After a scramble, I went out first to see, only to find the door still locked, and no one home.
-Number of sightings/incidents: 2 major (as mentioned), and numerous uncounted minor.

The rest...
-Most common activity: Something alike orbs, but more resembling sparks or fireworks. Shadows ranging from the size of a bat, to that of a human, flying across walls when there is nothing to make them, or even not enough light in the room to cause anything to cast the shadows. A ball of heat; I stared directly at a large mass of what appeared to be heat distortion (as can be seen above fires or above roads on hot days) as it traveled slowly through my dining room and into the kitchen, where it dissipated. Strange animals; I've seen my cat in the house, and called out to her to be fed, and, getting no response as she walks off somewhere out of sight, have gone looking for her, only to find her outside in the patio, with a locked door between us, and no one to have let her in or out.
-Number of sightings/incidents: Uncounted.

Honestly all of this baffles me. To say my house is haunted would be ridiculous; I don't believe this house to be haunted. And I know I'm not crazy or imagining things. So I'm confused, and often caught off-guard. Some friends and I used a Ouija board here when I was 15, and after receiving correct answers (to questions which only a third party who was not participating knew the answers to), we put it away, feeling disturbed, and shortly thereafter, I experience many inexplicable (black fog, shadows of objects that remained even after the object was removed), and at times, horrifying (skinless, burning humanoid figures running along the same path that the ball of heat now follows) things. Even a very comforting and protective male entity. But whatever "portal" we opened had long since closed, and all activity halted, before these recent things began happening; it had been years with me seeing/hearing/feeling absolutely nothing paranormal (a sad thing in the case of the protective male spirit; I'd grown fond of him).

Apologies for the needlessly long answer to your questions.

I dunno what to say. Your house sounds interesting. What did you do with the Ouija board?
